THE BREAKTHROUGH TREATMENT FOR MENOPAUSE
NATURAL WOMAN ESSENTIAL BODY
CREAM
Natural Progesterone Cream
NATURAL WOMAN ESSENTIAL BODY CREAM from Products of Nature is the answer for balancing hormones the natural way.
John R. Lee, M.D., internationally acclaimed authority on hormone replacement and author of the book, "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause," successfully treated female patients with natural progesterone cream for over 15 years. He defines these signs of progesterone deficiency for women over 35 years of age:
* Swollen breasts
* Depression
* Low thyroid
* Fibrocystic breasts
* Water retention
* Weight gain
* Loss of libido
Jerilyn C. Pryor, M.D. an endocrinology professor at the University of British Columbia, found through testing that 50% of the women in North America are severely deficient in progesterone by age 35 and that, during the menopausal years, progesterone levels decrease to almost zero while estrogen levels only decrease by 40% - 60%. Dr. Lee defines this syndrome as "estrogen dominance."
When this hormonal imbalance occurs, the estrogen becomes toxic to the body. Treatment with natural progesterone restores the balance between these two main female hormones, eliminating the need for sythetic hormone therapy, and the undesirable side effects. NATURAL WOMAN ESSENTIAL BODY CREAM has NO SIDE EFFECTS.
NATURAL WOMAN ESSENTIAL BODY CREAM contains natural progesterone derived from the Mexican wild yam root. (Please note: A Mexican yam cream is not the same as a natural progesterone cream and will not provide the same benefits.) The cream can be applied to the face, abdomen, chest, hands, inner arms and inner thighs. For osteoporosis apply to spine and for migraines apply to back of neck. The cream absorbs quickly, bypassing the liver on its way to specific receptor sites, so its effectiveness is not reduced.

NATURAL WOMAN ESSENTIAL BODY CREAM Ingredients:
Aloe
Vera Oil: has softening, healing, and ani-inflammatory properties.
Its moisturizing ability is its most widely recognized characteristic.
Aloe vera penetrates the skin, supplying moisture directly to the tissue.
Avocado
Oil: may mobilize and increase the collagen of connective tissue;
given the highest ranking by the Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology for
sunscreen effectiveness. Avocado oil enjoys the highest penetration rate
among similar oils.
Carrot
Oil: used since the 16th century for skin diseases due to its
cleansing, depurative and draining properties. This carotene-rich emollient
has been indicated for acne skin conditions, dermatitis, skin irritation,
rashes and wrinkles; derived from the carrot root.
Cramp
Bark: is used as an antidote to muscular spasms of any kind,
epileptic seizures, all types of nervous disorders, severe menstrual pain
during periods or labor pain during birth. It’s an excellent uterine sedative
and is the best relaxant for the ovaries and uterus.
Dong
Quai: is the "Queen" of all female herbs. It can rejuvenate
and normalize the female’s ovaries and strengthen the womb, as well as
stimulate the female hormone production to stop hot flashes and growth
of ovarian cysts. It helps to re-build the blood by purifying and cleansing
and increases circulation as it nourishes the brain cells.
Lemon
Grass Oil: is an astringent and tonic distilled from the leaves
of the lemon grasses.
Natural
Glycerin: is used as a moisturizer and humectant to replace
moisture in the skin.
Rosemary
Extract: is a natural food grade preservative.
Sarsaparilla:
contains vitamins A, B-complex, C, and D, and the minerals iron, manganese,
sodium, silicon, sulfur, copper, zinc and iodine. It contains the amino
acids methionine cystein. It helps strengthen the nerve fibers and tissue
of the brain, spinal cord, lungs and throat and is especially good for
removing heavy metallic contaminants from the blood, which are received
through the nostrils in foul, smog filled air of urban areas.
Saw
Palmetto Berries: help re-build the body by feeding the endocrine
system to rebuild atrophied flesh. They can help re-build sexual reproductive
organs, such as atrophied testicles in elderly men, and they have been
known to increase the size of small breasts in women. Remarkably, they
have great nutritional value on any kind of wasting disease. Additionally,
they will increase flesh and strength.
Stearal
Konium Chloride: is one of the principal constituents of bentonite
clay in face masks because of its properties as a suspending agent.
Natural
Progesterone: derived from the Mexican wild yam root. These
sterols are processed through several fermentation steps to yield progesterone
which is identical to progesterone produced by the human body. Natural
Woman Essential Body Cream contains 960 mg. natural progesterone per 2
oz. Vitamin A Palmitate: is known as a skin "normalizer." It acts as an
antikeratinizing agent, helps skin stay soft and plump. Clinical studies
with it indicate a significant change in collagen, DNA, skin thickness
and elasticity. Its stability is superior to retinol.
Vitamin
E: is considered the most important oil, soluble antioxidant
and free radical scavenger. As a moisturizer, it is well absorbed through
the skin; derived from alfalfa and wheat.
Natural progesterone is safe, side effect free and highly effective.
It’s an effective alternative to conventional estrogen replacement therapy
which can intensify serious pre-existing health problems (uterine cancer,
heavy bleeding from uterine fibroid tumors, severe migraine headaches,
or blood clotting problems), and may
accelerate the onset of a disease a woman is at risk for due to a strong
family history, says women’s health authority Susan Lark, M.D., author
of Making the Estrogen Decision: All the Information You Need to Make It
- Including the Full Range of Natural Alternatives.1
Progesterone is important. It works with estrogen to help maintain the normal hormone balance in a woman’s body. Because estrogen stimulates the growth of the uterine lining, progesterone is prescribed with it to prevent the lining from developing hyperplasia, a potentially precancerous condition. It also offers some benefits of its own and together they are important for a woman’s health after 40.
The most commonly prescribed brand of synthetic progesterone is Provera, or medroxy- progesterone (progestin). The usual dose is 5-10 mil. for 10 to 14 days per month. After the progesterone is discontinued there’s usually a short, light menstrual period per month, for the first few years on estrogen/progestin, until the uterus stops functioning completely. To prevent this monthly period, some doctors prescribe very low doses of progestin daily to halt the growth of the uterine lining. But this is losing favor.
"Progestin can have some unpleasant side effects - such as moodiness, bloating, and headaches - so more and more practitioners are turning to natural progesterone, which is virtually indistinguishable from the progesterone produced by the ovaries," says Marcia Jones, national director of the Dixie PMS and Menopause Center in Marietta, GA.2
The Natural Alternative
Natural progesterone is derived from Dioscorea mimosa (wild yam), which
has the steroid precursor, diosgenin. Lab processing of diosgenin yields
a molecule chemically akin to natural human progesterone.
According to John Lee, M.D., co-author of The Estrogen Alternative,
natural progesterone is not the same as wild yam. It must be processed
from the wild yam to be bioavailable to the body.3
Natural progesterone is prescribed in varying strengths as micronized progesterone in capsules or suspended in gels or creams. Dr. W. Regelson, co-author of The Super- Hormone Promise, notes there may be a problem with oral forms in that it’s broken down very rapidly in the body. So, women who use it must take it twice daily - morning and at night - usually for 10 to 14 days a month.4
Capsules, Creams, or Oils
Natural progesterone can be taken orally (via capsules) or transdermally (via skin or oils). Transdermal use is often preferred, since progesterone is a small, fat-soluble molecule, that’s absorbed very efficiently via the skin. Also, less hormone is needed, and dosing is more consistent because it’s stored in the fat tissues for use as needed. When rubbed on the skin, it is quickly absorbed into the underlying fatty layer, then into capillaries from where it enters the blood-stream. Progesterone restoration occurs rapidly, except for those who are highly deficient in progesterone - it may take them 2-3 months to restore optimal levels.
Equal doses of transdermal progesterone are 7-8 times more effective than ingested progesterone. The difference is that about 80% - 90% of oral progesterone is intercepted by the liver and held for excretion in the bile. The liver doesn’t intercept transdermal natural progesterone cream.
"Natural progesterone is first absorbed into body fat and then passed slowly into the body via the blood. Basically, much of the progesterone is absorbed into the body fat. With continued use, fat levels of progesterone become stabilized and balanced because of the body’s inborn reception into natural progesterone. Continued application of progesterone increases the blood levels, and stronger physiological effects are felt," according to Tom Bader, R.Ph., owner of College Pharmacy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who compounds natural progesterone.
Few studies have compared women’s responses to progestin (Provera) and natural progesterone, but one study has interesting results. Hargrove et al. compared 10 menopausal women using natural estrogen and natural oral progesterone with 5 women on synthetic estrogen, Premarin, and synthetic progestin. In those on natural estrogen and natural progesterone, menopausal symptoms improved dramatically with limited side effects. Also, natural progesterone gave the same protection against uterine cancer as progestin.5 The study also revealed 2 unexpected benefits: Women on natural hormones had a greater reduction in cholesterol levels and an increase in HDL levels (the good cholesterol). All 10 women using the natural super-hormones opted to continue while 2 of the 5 on the synthetic hormones discontinued the therapy.
Progesterone and Heart Disease
After menopause, a woman’s risk of developing heart disease rises dramatically - 250,000 women die of heart disease yearly. It is believed that there is a direct connection between falling estrogen levels and rising heart disease rates. It has also been shown that women who take estrogen cut their risk of dying from heart disease in half, partly due to estrogen’s ability to reduce LDL cholesterol levels and raise HDL cholesterol levels. Scientists feared that if women were given progesterone with estrogen, it would negate estrogen’s beneficial effect on cholesterol.
An article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (1/95) reported amazing results from the first major large, well-controlled, National Institute of Health (NIH)-sponsored trial over 3 years - the Post-menopausal Estrogen/Progestin Interventions PEPI) Trial. The PEPI investigators were surprised by the superiority of natural progesterone over synthetic preparations. Prominent cardiology researcher Elizabeth Barett-Connor, M.D., of the University of California, San Diego - head of the PEPI study notes: "If I were treating a woman primarily because she worried about heart disease, or she had dislipidemia and low HDL cholesterol, I would probably see if she wanted to take micronized (natural) progesterone. I was quite impressed with the better effect." PEPI investigator, former NIH head Bernadine P. Healy, M.D. - currently Dean at Ohio State College of Medicine agreed. "I think the biggest surprise certainly was the HDL effect of micronized (natural) progesterone," states Healy.7
Progesterone and Osteoporosis
It is commonly believed in current U.S. medicine that osteoporosis can be treated by replacing estrogen. But, although estrogen replacement therapy may slow the progression of bone loss, it doesn’t prevent it nor do anything to restore bone that has already been lost.8
Also, as Dr. Lee states, the idea that estrogen retards bone loss (let alone prevents it) may be questionable. In nearly every study that examined estrogen’s role in preventing or slowing menopausal bone loss, the women also received a synthetic progestin 9 - making it hard to conclude which hormone (estrogen, progestin, or a combination of them) had the most significant influence on bone loss.
Evidence from several in vitro, clinical, epidemiologic studies supports the view that progesterone is the hormone primarily responsible for building new bone. The primary study linking natural progesterone and reversal of osteoporosis was done by Dr. Lee, 9,10 who treated 100 post-menopausal women (mean age, 65) for a minimum of 3 years with a program that included natural progesterone skin cream. Serial bone density testing was done on 63 of them.
Over 3 years, the women would be expected to lose about 4.5% of their bone density with no treatment. But the women’s bone density increased a little over 15% on average. Lee reported, "it was not uncommon to observe increases of 10% to 15% within 6 months and 20% to 25% in 3 years."
Building Body Chemistry
Natural progesterone can help prevent disease, cancer, and osteoporosis; help maintain the lining of the uterus; and protect against fibrocystic breasts. In addition, it can correct the hormonal imbalances of PMS and menopause where they start - with low progesterone levels.11
"But, as with any hormone, progesterone therapy should bring hormone levels back to those which are physiologically normal for one’s age. It is important that an individual not take too much. Natural hormones are typically safe, but, as with anything else, someone can be adversely affected if his or her dose is much higher than their physiological needs," points our Tom Bader, R.Ph.
